Atlantis, the alien abduction phenomenon, and otherworldly possession were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. Meanwhile, at the C2C website, we told you about puzzling UFOs seen in Texas and China, contrasting fortunes for soothsayers in South Korea and Russia, and a masked miscreant who menaced multiple people in Philadelphia. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Alien abductions were a hot topic of conversation this past week on Coast to Coast AM with two guests discussing the mysterious and unsettling phenomenon. First, on Sunday night's program, hypnotherapist Lesley Mitchell-Clarke detailed her work using regression techniques to reveal memories of extraterrestrial encounters experienced by her clients. She indicated that she is often approached by people who have had sudden recall about such events, reflected on the evolving nature of abductions, and shared stories of specific cases she has uncovered. Then, on Tuesday night's show, filmmaker Dean Alioto talked about how the phenomenon continues happening to this day and offered thoughts on the various theories for what might be behind these events.

A pair of particularly puzzling UFO videos caught our attention this past week, beginning with a very weird case from Texas wherein a confounded witness captured footage of an illuminated C-shaped line that wildly spun in circles. The anomaly, which bore a striking resemblance to a similar object seen in August of 2023, was likened by some to the symbol for a computer buffering. Later in the week, an equally astonished observer in China filmed what appeared to be a dark diamond-shaped UFO nestled within a sizeable white cloud. While some suggested that it could have been an alien craft poorly attempting to hide, more skeptical viewers suggested the oddity could simply be a meteorological phenomenon.

Otherworldly possession took center stage on Monday night's program as hypnotherapist Dr. Bruce Goldberg detailed the different types of sinister forces responsible for the phenomenon. Pseudo-obsession, he explained, occurs when an individual's past-life personality attempts to exert control over them. In cases of obsession, Goldberg said, a person finds themselves being pestered by ghosts or spirits unaware that they no longer reside among the living. The most troubling type of possession, he aptly observed, is demonic possession. In these instances, Goldberg stressed, a person must allow the dark forces to take hold by granting them permission to do so through rituals or a seemingly innocent Ouija Board session.

Mysticism had something of a moment this past week with two enlightening international stories involving fortune telling. First, in South Korea, soothsayers lamented that business has plummeted in recent years with the emergence of AI and 'clairvoyant' apps. Particularly hard hit has been a community of traditional blind fortune tellers that has occupied an enclave of Seoul for decades and seen a drop from around 80 practitioners in its heyday to now less than 20. Conversely, business is booming for mystics in Russia as countless concerned residents have turned to clairvoyants in the hopes of finding answers about the status of their loved ones fighting in the war with Ukraine.

Was Atlantis a genuine civilization that existed where Indonesia is today? Author Frank Joseph Hoff made the case for that compelling scenario on Saturday night's program. He asserted that the legendary lost world was once a thriving society until it was destroyed around 11,600 years ago. As for its location being contemporary Indonesia, he pointed to geological, geographic, and linguistic clues that seem to strengthen that hypothesis. Hoff put forward the theory that Atlantis fell as a result of a civil war wherein one side detonated a nuclear weapon in Krakatoa, which sparked a devastating chain of events that sent survivors fleeing around the world, where they influenced other societies, like the Egyptians and Mayans.

By far the most bizarre story of the week unfolded in Philadelphia, where a masked miscreant menaced multiple people throughout the city. Over the course of about 15 minutes one morning, the creep approached several people in a rather off-putting fashion. In one instance, he ran up to a woman and terrified her with the question, "are you ready to die?" Moments later, he attempted to pester another Philadelphian who, fittingly, kicked the doll-masked cretin in the chest. As one might imagine, the city's police department is now on the hunt for the troublemaker, whose antics they suspect may be social media-inspired, as he now faces a litany of charges for the curious crime spree.
