The British Royal Mint has released gold and silver bullion coins featuring a fearsome depiction of the iconic Loch Ness Monster. The eye-catching pieces, unveiled earlier this month, are the first in a new series of collectibles titled 'Legendary Creatures.' Paranormal numismatists hoping to get their hands on the Nessie bullion may find the endeavor somewhat challenging, as the one-ounce gold piece is priced at around $5,600, with only 5,000 in circulation. Meanwhile, the silver version of the coin, of which 50,000 were produced, boasts a more reasonable price of around $115 per piece. The new collectibles are not the first time the British Royal Mint celebrated Nessie, as the famed monster was also featured on considerably cheaper ten pence coins back in 2018.
