Pentagon Releases Third Batch of UFO Files

The Pentagon has released a third batch of UFO files that includes several tantalizing videos and accounts of inexplicable orb sightings. The tranche of materials, posted at the government's new dedicated UAP transparency website on Friday morning, follows the release of 158 records on May 8th and 64 records on May 22nd. As with those drops, the latest batch consists of various forms of media concerning the enigmatic phenomenon, specifically 53 documents, 10 images, 6 videos, and 3 audio files.

If there were a theme for the third file release, it would undoubtedly be orbs, as the materials feature four videos (seen above) showing silently moving enigmatic balls of light filmed by baffled eyewitnesses who subsequently provided their accounts and footage to the FBI. The various observers described the peculiar anomalies as a “plasma-like sphere," a red illumination said to have a white center that was "about the size of a basketball," or multiple UFOs that seemed to emerge from a singular source. Intriguingly, the Pentagon noted that all of the incidents happened in "the same general area in the northeastern United States" between the years 2021 and 2024.

The newly released materials also contain multiple documents concerning a remarkable series of orb sightings that occurred "over a period of two days in October 2023 in the western United States" and were reported by several "federal law enforcement special agents." Featured in the files are five compelling first-hand accounts from those witnesses wherein they describe seeing baffling balls of light that, in some instances, appeared to release smaller orbs in a manner that one observer likened to the oddities "being hatched" from the larger UFO. Also pertaining to the still-unsolved case in the files are digitally rendered images and videos that helpfully convey what the witnesses reported seeing.

Beyond the materials concerning orbs, Friday's file release also features documents related to a puzzling 2022 Colorado Springs case involving a "creamy/whitish opalescent" UFO said to sport "what can best be described as articulating fish scales or panels that were non-syrnrnetrical, non-overlapping, and irregularly shaped." Another incident detailed in the records is a July 2008 event wherein an airport in Zimbabwe was put on high alert due to the appearance of an unidentified object said to be "disc-like in shape with a hollow center." Among the other noteworthy materials in the release are CIA files on flying saucers from the 1950s and more audio recordings from NASA's Apollo program.
