Southern California residents with an eye on the sky may have been fortunate enough to spot an incredible green fireball which descended to the Earth on Tuesday evening.
The mysterious object was seen by numerous witnesses, many of whom managed to capture the strange event and shared it on social media.
As of now, the origin of the fireball remains unknown, with several official organizations claiming to have no role or knowledge in the event.
According to CBS Los Angeles, US Strategic Command suggested that it was not a man made object, specifically a satellite.
Additionally, officials at LA's famed Griffith Observatory conceded that they do not know what the object may have been.
As of now, the prevailing theory seems to be that the brilliant fireball was caused by a meteor burning up as it hit the Earth.
Of course, that's just because the injured aliens from the UFO crash haven't emerged from the desert yet or they've already been taken away by the government.
