New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye raised eyebrows during a recent radio interview when he revealed that he is "a little bit skeptical" that we ever landed on the moon. The surprising moment occurred earlier this week when the NFL star appeared on the Rich and Ken with Ted Johnson show. During a listener question portion of the program, Maye was asked "what wild conspiracy theory" he might "secretly believe in." An amused Maye indicated that he hoped not to be too controversial before indicating, "I don't know about the moon. I can see, back in the day, why we would put on the mask that we went there, but I'm not really 200% sure if we went there or not."
Stressing that he is not "leaning one way or the other," the quarterback conceded that "I just know I’m a little bit skeptical." Maye's misgivings about the moon were echoed by one of the hosts, who expressed a strong belief in the theory that Stanley Kubrick helped fake the historic moment. In response, the Patriots star reiterated that he is "not 100% sure" that the event happened. The quarterback subsequently recalled taking a college course on conspiracies that included "Hitler being alive and are birds real. Some of the classic ones that you hear about." Maye is not the first sports personality to express doubt about the moon landing, as NBA stars Derrick White and Steph Curry both made headlines after they shared similar thoughts in recent years.
