In the first half, founder and director of The Trends Research Institute, Gerald Celente, offered commentary on how the pandemic is being handled and shared various trends he sees on the horizon. He believes that hysteria over COVID-19 has been amplified by mainstream media and governors of various states, and that the illness is only threatening to a small minority of the population-- the very elderly and those with certain preexisting conditions. Because of this, he argued that businesses should not have been shut down, and in the economic aftermath, "we are going to go into the greatest depression the likes of which no one has ever seen." Many small businesses have closed down and won't be coming back. The unemployment numbers are going to be devastating, he continued, and entertainment, retail, restaurants, hotels, and airlines are being hit severely with little hope for revival in the near-term.

As gold and silver rise in value, he foresees a move to phase out paper currency in favor of a digital one. He suspects that China took advantage of the virus so they could lock down Hong Kong, and in the wake of COVID, he's concerned that war may break out to distract the populace from their desperate financial circumstances. The current educational system is antiquated, Celente remarked, and pandemic-era online classes point to a better way of learning that's going to grow in leaps and bounds. Regarding the presidential election, he predicts Trump will condemn mandated lockdowns and will win swing states by blaming their governors for allowing this.

In the latter half, British astronomer and science writer, David Darling, reported on the latest news of space discoveries, cosmology, extraterrestrial life, and quantum physics. Exciting recent developments include new information about enigmatic fast radio bursts (FRBs), the 'South Pole Wall,' one of the largest structures in the universe-- 700 million light-years across, as well as enormous 'odd radio circles' in galactic space. There are new astronomical discoveries almost every month, he enthused. We have also found that the universe is expanding at an increasing rate, and this, he noted, may relate to the invisible dark energy that has puzzled scientists.

Discussing the idea of a Planet X or Planet Nine in our solar system, Darling said that gravitational effects suggest the possible existence of such a body out beyond Pluto. Instead of a planet though, it might be something like a tiny black hole the size of a grapefruit with 5 or 10 times the mass of the Earth, which would have the same gravitational effects, he suggested. In terms of the search for life beyond Earth, we might find something based on a different elemental system than ours. "Could you have life in the clouds of a gas giant?" he pondered, "or life in interstellar space not based on the surface of a planet?"
