Our newest feature for Coast Insiders, The Art Bell Vault, offers an expanding curated collection with two vintage shows added to the mix each Wednesday. This week's offerings are a pair of classic programs, beginning with a fascinating edition of the show from 3/11/1997, wherein Art was joined by inventor and contactee Dr. Fred Bell for a conversation about time travel and how consciousness may be the key to the elusive process of leaving the present and going to the past or future. He also discussed creating a twenty-foot-tall device that he claimed demonstrated interdimensional time travel using lasers.
Next, we journey back to June 7th, 2002, for an episode in which Art was joined by author Phillip Krapf, who shared his story of being contacted by a race of ETs that he called the 'Verdants.' This program is particularly noteworthy due to a memorable first hour appearance by mentalist The Amazing Kreskin, who talked about his controversial prediction, which failed to come to fruition, that a mass UFO sighting would occur over Las Vegas the previous night. Not buying his claims that that the event was actually a "psychological experiment," an annoyed Art promptly banned Kreskin from ever appearing on the show again!
These vintage programs have commercials and breaks removed and are presented in multiple-platforms-- available on-demand for Mac, Windows, IOS, Android, and the Coast app. Many of them feature rare "5th" hours of content from back in the 90s when the show had a longer running time. We do include Art's beloved bumper music, which became such an indelible part of his program.
