In Coast You Missed It 1/6/23

By Tim Binnall

The Roswell incident, curious creatures in exotic places, and predictions for 2023 were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about an odd 'snow circle' that may have been created by a UFO, a two-legged fox filmed in England, and the Grand Warlock of Mexico's forecast for the new year. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Coast to Coast AM kicked off 2023 with our annual predictions special on Sunday night as four gifted guests shared their forecasts for the new year. In the first hour, psychic Joseph Jacobs indicated that the war in Ukraine will continue throughout the year and that the economy will also remain strained. Then, astrologer Mark Lerner posited that disrupted communications and travel will be an issue for many Americans. During the third hour, master spiritual teacher/healer Elizabeth Joyce cautioned that there could be foot shortages in 2023, particularly in New England. And, rounding out the program, astrologist Joy Yascone provided a forecast for all 12 zodiac signs.

This past week saw a pair of rather unique UFO cases make the news, beginning with an incident in Oregon wherein a homeowner discovered a mysterious 'snow circle' in his backyard moments after he saw a bright flash in the sky. The bewildered witness noted that there were no footprints around the odd formation, which measured 30 feet in diameter, and was left wondering if perhaps the eerie anomaly had been left behind by a UFO. Later in the week, Russian officials announced that they had shot down a ball-shaped UFO that appeared over the country's Rostov Oblast region. The strange event has been shrouded in secrecy with some suggesting it was alien in nature, while others posited that it was probably a drone emanating from Ukraine.

More than 75 years after that fateful day in the New Mexico desert, the legendary Roswell incident continues to mystify UFO enthusiasts and, on Thursday night's program, ufologist Kevin Randle returned to discuss his latest research into the iconic case. Based on his exhaustive investigation in the event, he argued in favor of the theory that it did, indeed, center around the crash of some kind of extraterrestrial crash which was subsequently spirited away by the government. During his appearance, Randle also talked about Zecharia Sitchin's research into possible ancient aliens, why there do not seem to be as many 'classic' UFO cases in modern times, and the abduction phenomenon.

As is tradition, the start of the new year was marked by two particularly colorful prognosticators garnering headlines with their traditional forecasts for the next twelve months. Jemima Packington, a British psychic medium known as the Asparamancer because she uses asparagus as a divination tool, revealed her 2023 predictions, which included more Royal births, a joyous coronation for King Charles, and shocking celebrity deaths. Later in the week, the Grand Warlock of Mexico held his annual press conference, wherein he cautioned that the war in Ukraine would ultimately result in more geopolitical turmoil, but also indicated that the economy will remain largely stable.

Strange animals in exotic locations took center stage on Monday night's program as wildlife biologist and cryptozoologist Pat Spain recounted his travels around the world following in the footsteps of his great-uncle Charles Fort. He recounted visiting Brazil and participating in a ritual wherein his hand was stung by a swarm of bullet ants, which led him to hallucinate for 24 hours. Another adventure saw Spain lowered into a snake pit in Manitoba, Canada and having the creepy creatures envelop him like running water. During the program, he also detailed his search for the Orang Pendek in Sumatra and a giant sloth that may still roam the earth.

Easily the oddest story of the week came by way of Britain, where a couple were astounded by the appearance of a bizarre two-legged fox that they spotted frolicking in their backyard. Philip Carter could not believe his eyes when his wife Jane called him over to the window to see the wondrous creature which was remarkably adept at maneuvering on its remaining front limbs. How exactly the animal wound up in that curious condition is unknown, but a wildlife expert posited that it was likely not a recent development as it displayed tremendous dexterity and appeared to be in good health.
