In Coast You Missed It 3/1/24

The Moon Hoax conspiracy, shadow people, and mysterious disappearances were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a weird UFO filmed by a drone in Ukraine, video of a goblin doll seemingly moving its face, and a beloved owl that mysteriously vanished in England. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Shadow people took center stage on Monday night's program as author Heidi Hollis discussed her research into the mysterious and unsettling paranormal entities. She highlighted one particularly unnerving version of the phenomenon, dubbed the Hat Man, which she likened to a puppet master that appears at the foot of an individual's bed with the ultimate intention of possessing their soul. Asserting that these shadow entities are sinister in nature, she posited that they are players in an interdimensional battle between forces of good and evil that is playing out on a cosmic scale. To that end, Hollis also mused about the role of ETs in this scenario as well as offered her take on the skeptics' argument that shadow people are merely a result of sleep paralysis.

A beloved owl in England found itself at the center of a weird mystery this past week after it inexplicably vanished from its enclosure at London's Wimbledon and Putney Commons park. Brought to the site as a chick nearly thirty years ago, the bird's disappearance understandably alarmed its caretakers as they contend that it is unlikely to have left its longtime home and there were no signs of an animal attack that could account for the owl going missing. As such, they believe that the bird was stolen by some sticky-fingered ne'er-do-wells who brazenly entered its enclosure and snatched the creature.

The infamous Moon Hoax conspiracy theory was revisited on Saturday night's program as researcher Bart Sibrel talked about his decades-long effort to prove that the lunar landings were actually staged. Among the various aspects of the Apollo missions that he pointed to as being particularly peculiar were unusual shadows seen in NASA footage and testimony from experts who say that it is impossible to journey to the moon. Sibrel also detailed an alleged deathbed confession from a man who claimed to have been part of the conspiracy and mused about why people often react with considerable anger at the mere suggestion that we did not really go to the moon.

This past week saw a rather compelling UFO video emerge out of Ukraine by way of a reconnaissance drone keeping an eye out for Russian adversaries. In the footage, the soldiers manning the device can be heard marveling at a sizeable disc-shaped object hovering in the sky around 30 miles away from the UAV. While one observer quickly declared that it was a UFO, others simply expressed mystification at the bewildering sight and wondered why the perceived craft was not engaging their drone. As for what the object might have been, suggestions from viewers online included some kind of clandestine terrestrial aircraft, a meteorological phenomenon, and, of course, aliens.

One of the more chilling mysteries to capture the public's imagination in recent years is the phenomenon of people disappearing in the wilderness under unusual and unnerving circumstances. On Thursday night's program, investigator David Paulides provided an update on his research into these very curious cases, specifically instances of people who have vanished in Washington state. He recounted one perplexing incident from 1999 wherein two highly experienced mountain climbers inexplicably went missing as well as a weird spate of disappearances involving intellectuals, including six German physicists. During his appearance, Paulides also offered observations on odd trends surrounding these missing person cases that he has noticed over the years.

By far the most bizarre story of the week occurred in Bolivia, where a doll depicting a goblin was filmed seemingly moving its face. The eerie footage prompted paranormal investigators to descend upon the home where the figurine 'lives' in the hopes of getting to the bottom of the strange incident. Chillingly, when one of the researchers observed the doll with a night vision camera, it detected an eerie anomaly resembling a face hovering behind the clay goblin. Providing an additional layer of strangeness to the story, the creator of the figurine told a local media outlet that he was not surprised by the incident as he actually brings his pieces to an enchanted forest before selling them so that they can be imbued with the spirit of elemental beings that reside there.
