Riveting stories of the strange and unusual from the American southwest, the legendary 1973 Pascagoula UFO incident, and the Hollow Earth Theory were among the realms explored on Coast to Coast AM this past week. And, at the C2C website, we featured a number of different stories about ghosts and spirits as well as both a potential video of an alien and yet another image of Nessie. Chronicler of the strange and unusual, John Olsen provided some perfect campfire material on Monday night's program in the form of weird stories that he has collected from Utah and the American southwest. Covering an array of realms, including ghosts, Bigfoot, and 'glitches in the matrix,' he shared a number of truly mind-boggling tales over the course of the event. Particularly compelling was an account from a hiker who encountered a goblin-like creature in the middle of the night at Utah's Mount Naomi.
In what may be a sign that summer is nearly at an end and the spooky season is right around the corner, this past week was rife with ghost stories in the news. Among them was what may have been a pair of spirits captured lurking in a graveyard by Google Maps as well as an eerie video of a potential apparition walking down a street in Kentucky. Meanwhile, a paranormal investigator in Connecticut found himself in hot water with the law after he fired a gun at what he believes was a ghost.
The legendary 1973 Pascagoula UFO incident was revisited on Sunday night's program as Calvin Parker, one of the two men at the center of the infamous case, recounted his incredible experience. Previously reticent to share his story in detail with the public, the now-64-year-old abductee mused that it is "time for me to get out and talk about it." Parker not only recalled his encounter with the UFO, but also the tremendous toll the event and subsequently publicity surrounding it had on his life.
A story we covered last week came back in a most unexpected way as yet another visitor to Loch Ness photographed an anomalous form emerging from the waters of the famed site in Scotland. What made the image noteworthy was that this witness just so happened to have spotted Nessie on the very same day that a schoolgirl snapped a possible photo of the creature that was hailed as the 'best in years.' Amazingly, the oddity in the two images bear an uncanny resemblance to each other, making one wonder if the two onlookers saw the same creature hours and miles apart at the loch.
While the Flat Earth Theory may dominate the headlines these days, another fantastic planetary theory that has largely been pushed to the periphery of the paranormal took center stage on Wednesday night when Brooks Agnew discussed the 'Inner Earth Theory.' The electrical engineer and physicist discussed scientific studies which raised interesting questions about the nature of Earth's crust and how he has been working on an expedition, which is now picking up steam, to look for a possible entrance to the inside of the planet.
Perhaps the most puzzling story featured at the Coast to Coast AM website this week was that of a security guard in Argentina who encountered some kind of entity that he suspects may have been an alien. Beyond merely a remarkable tale, the incident was made all the more compelling because the man actually had video of the odd event. And although the footage is a bit hard to decipher at first, when one watches it a few times, they can eventually see that something strange does, indeed, scurry in front of the man for a split second.
