In Coast You Missed It 3/10/23

Atlantis, advanced human technology mistaken for UFOs, and a police officer who became a psychic investigator upon his retirement were among the fascinating realms explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a 'ghost train' reported by cops in England, a lawsuit involving D.B. Cooper's necktie, and an odd UFO that appeared to emerge from a volcano in Mexico. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Could the UAPs being reported by military pilots actually be some kind of clandestine technology of human origin? Geopolitical analyst Brandon J. Weichert explored this intriguing possibility on Monday night's program and pointed to US Navy patents for 'UFOs' which look suspiciously similar to the Tic Tac objects that have been seen in our restricted airspace. He speculated that the encounters with these craft could actually be a test, orchestrated by a compartmentalized group within the government, to see how pilots react to the extraordinary experience. Weichert also posited that the recent series of incidents involving mysterious 'balloons' may have really been a cover story to keep the public in the dark about foreign craft flying over our country.

A pair of classic aviation mysteries wound up back in the news this week, beginning with the revelation that DNA testing of skull fragments thought to have possibly been those of Amelia Earhart are, in fact, not from the pioneering pilot. The mysterious remains, which generated headlines back in 2019 when they were discovered on a shelf at a museum in Kiribati, were identified as being from a young woman who lived on the Pacific island nation 1,000 years ago. Meanwhile, a longtime D.B. Cooper researcher filed a federal lawsuit against the FBI in the hopes of gaining access to the skyjacker's necktie with the intention of extracting DNA from a metal spindle on the clothing, which has seemingly gone overlooked for decades.

The legendary lost world of Atlantis took center stage on Saturday night's program as historian David Edward argued that not only did the fabled civilization once exist, but that its remnants can still be found here on Earth. Specifically, he pointed to a location in the country of Mauritania known as the Richat Structure or the Eye of the Sahara, which is a peculiar geological formation that is circular in nature. Reasoning that the area matches Plato's description of the distance from Atlantis to the sea, he understandably expressed concern that strip mining at the spot could wind up destroying precious artifacts that would confirm the theory.

A rather unique ghost story crossed our desk this past week by way of Britain, where a pair of police officers claim to have heard a 'phantom train' pass by their station. The two cops contend that, moments before heading out on patrol, they noticed the unmistakable sound of a locomotive charging towards the building. Amazingly, the duo even observed the leaves of the tree swaying, seemingly due to the unseen train sweeping past them with the distinct toot of its horn as it faded off into the distance. Understandably intrigued by what they had just experienced, the two officers subsequently investigated the history of the station and discovered that there had once been a railway line that ran right next to the building.

While serving as a police officer in Massachusetts, Chuck Bergman discovered that he possessed psychic abilities which ultimately led to him retiring and becoming an independent investigator using his gift to solve crimes. Sharing his remarkable story on Tuesday night's program, he explained that he stopped short of using his supernatural skills on his own cases during his time on the force but did provide readings for other cops with the understanding that the sessions would be kept secret. During his appearance, Bergman recounted some of the cases he has worked on since leaving law enforcement, including a particularly eerie experience wherein a voice revealed where his client's missing fiance was located.

This past week featured a trio of tantalizing videos that just may have provided a glimpse of something paranormal. In Mexico, a webcam watching over the Popocatepetl volcano filmed a peculiar UFO which seemingly shot up into the sky from the base of the site which, by virtue of numerous strange sightings in the area, some suspect is a secret alien base. Over in Wales, a woman touring a notoriously haunted castle captured footage of an eerie figure walking through the tunnels beneath the historic location. And, in New Jersey, a paranormal researcher on the hunt for Bigfoot showcased a series of photos which, he believes, show Sasquatch stalking him during an investigation.
