In Coast You Missed It 5/1/20

The UFO phenomenon, haunted locations, and communications with the 'other side' were among the fascinating realms explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a faux plague doctor roaming around a village in England, President Trump's thoughts on the much-discussed Pentagon UFO videos, and an interesting take on the thylacine from one of the stars of Tiger King. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

For the past twenty-five years, spiritual medium Hollister Rand has provided detailed messages from those residing on the 'other side.' She reflected on her many experiences communicating with the spirit realm on Wednesday night's program and offered insight into what that world may be like, including how there are proverbial first responders awaiting new arrivals. Rand also explained the difference between ghosts, which she called "grumpy," and spirits, which are said to occupy a "frequency of love."

The Pentagon's decision to officially release a trio of UFO videos filmed by Navy pilots made major news this week despite the fact that the footage had been circulating online for the past few years. Beyond spawning breathless headlines from the mainstream media and considerable speculation on the internet, the tantalizing clips even caught the attention of President Trump. Meanwhile, in response to the development here in America, Japan announced that they were devising a response plan should any of their pilots encounter a UFO.

Haunted locations took center stage on Monday night's program as former police officer and seasoned ghost hunter Steve Gonsalves shared stories from his over 1,000 investigations such spooky spots. He detailed his work using a device known as a "trigger object proximity sensor," which measures energy emanating from a specific item and recalled investigating a historic Civil War site and dressing up as soldiers in order to catch the interest of any spirits who may have been in the area.

The hit Netflix series Tiger King has become a bonafide pop culture phenomenon since it premiered a few months ago and the strange world of rogue zookeepers finally crossed paths with the paranormal this week when one of the stars of the program, Jeff Lowe, shared his thoughts on the Tasmanian Tiger with an Australian radio program. Contrary to the stance of mainstream science, the creature is not actually extinct, the controversial wildlife park proprietor said and revealed that hopes to someday acquire one for his zoo!

The UFO phenomenon was a topic of discussion on several C2C programs this past week beginning with Saturday night's program in which Michael W. Hall talked about his investigations, alongside a group of paranormal researchers, into anomalous activity hotspots. Then, on Sunday night's show, political Science professor Alexander Wendt discussed the science of UFOs. And, on Thursday night's program, ufologist Nick Pope reacted to the Pentagon's official release of Navy pilot footage of anomalous aerial phenomena.

Easily the weirdest story we saw this past week centered around a mischievous individual in England who caused something of a stir by roaming around a village while wearing a plague doctor costume. An image of the creepy costume-clad person walking about town wound up on social media and, as is custom online, sparked a debate over whether their antics were funny or frightening. Local authorities seemingly sided with the latter group, announcing that they were looking for the 'plague doctor' in the hopes of warning them about the potential dangers of scaring the public.
