C2C's Wildest Animal Stories of 2021

By Tim Binnall

Whether by land, sea, or air, the animal kingdom was up to its usual tricks in 2021 with a wide array of creatures creating headlines in weird and wondrous ways. Among the many strange and unusual accounts from the past year were rabbits that walked on two feet (seen above), gangs of monkeys that went to war with each other in Thailand, an arctic walrus that somehow wound up off the coast of Ireland, a sighting of 'SpongeBob' and 'Patrick' on the ocean floor, and chipmunks that tested positive for the bubonic plague. Without a doubt, creatures of all shapes and sizes found ways to surprise us this year. With that in mind, check out this collection of C2C's wildest animal stories from 2021:
