Academy Award nominee Salma Hayek is a Mexican and American film actress, director, and producer, with one of her best known roles as the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in the 2002 film Frida. Her latest project as a producer was bringing Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet to life.
