  • About the show

Explorer and archaeologist Jonathan Gray said that in his travels around the world he found things "that should not exist," which led him to conclude that previous civilizations were far more advanced than is generally thought. Two of these civilizations came to cataclysmic ends which left few remnants of their technology, he explained.

"The Mother Civilization" was wiped out during a global calamity in 3398 BC, in which "land and sea changed places," and the whole world was engulfed in tidal waves, Gray said. Also destroyed when the earth's axis tilted during this time, was an atmospheric "canopy," that had created spring-like weather planet-wide, he noted.

After this, civilizations in Egypt, Sumeria and Indus Valley appeared suddenly, already developed and Gray connected their origins to the earlier Mother Civilization. Collectively considered to be the second great civilization which spread as far as the Americas, Gray said they came to an untimely end around 2000 BC in a series of nuclear weapon exchanges or atomic disasters. As evidence for this, he cited a destroyed city in the jungles of Brazil as well a discovered city in India which contained skeletons that were still radioactive.
