Human Cloning

About the show

Brian Alexander authored an article on cloning for Wired magazine in which he described the newest efforts to clone humans. Joining Art for the second hour, he talked about the implications for childless couples, speculated about the claims of the Raelian UFO cult that they had already cloned a human, and guessed that there may have already been an "accidental" cloning (at the time) in the lab. There was also discussion about stem cell research, and the possibility of digitizing a person's brain so that they could essentially "live" forever.

During the first hour, author Kathleen Keating called in for a brief follow-up to her appearance earlier in the week about the Antichrist and prophecy.

Open Lines and news in the first hour touched on such topics as children with guns, the crash of the MIR space station, and John Glenn's appearance on "Frasier." The last 3 hours also featured Open Lines delving into such subjects as halos, biblical truth, chupacabras and extraterrestrials, demon children, and "sky worms." Art also tested out the International Line and received calls from such locations as Germany, England, New Zealand, and Hong Kong.
