Revelations of "Officer X"

About the show

Art's interview with the man he calls "Officer X" only takes place during the first hour and a half of the show, however, the chilling effect of the guest's testimony lasts throughout all 4 hours. In his story, he describes serving in the Navy on a nuclear submarine during a frightening communication blackout. Because there was a Russian ship nearby, it was possible the blackout occurred due to warfare. "Officer X" details how very close his shipmates came to launching nuclear weapons. He mysteriously cuts his interview short, citing an urgent situation he must tend to at work. Of course, during Open Lines in the remainder of the show, Art and the listeners suspect that higher powers intervened.
