John R. Lott

John R. Lott, Jr. is the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center and is an economist who has held research and teaching positions at places such as the University of Chicago, Yale, Wharton, Stanford, and UCLA. John was the chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission and more recently, the Senior Advisor for Research and Statistics at the US Department of Justice, and is the author of ten books, including "More Guns, Less Crime."
