Gun Rights / Ice Ages & Megaliths

About the show

Political commentator and economist John R. Lott received his Ph.D. in economics from UCLA. In the first half, he discussed his latest work researching the data surrounding gun crime and pending gun control legislation. According to Lott, President Biden has mounted an aggressive campaign to put gun makers and sellers out of business with a "zero tolerance" policy against paperwork errors, no matter how trivial. Biden has talked about banning all semi-automatic guns, "but about 85% of handguns and a similar percentage of rifles in the United States are semi-automatic; they're not weapons of war," and it's misleading to refer to them as such, he continued.

The number of shooters stopped by civilians carrying permitted concealed carry weapons is consistently underestimated by the Dept. of Justice, he cited. Would-be killers know they can rack up a greater number of deaths if they go to a place where it's illegal to carry concealed handguns, he added. Putting someone in a uniform that carries a gun in places like a school is problematic because if there is a shooter, they may go after them first, said Lott, who suggested having an armed person who blends in, so they may have a better chance to stop an attack. Lott was also critical of the cost of getting a concealed carry permit, which can be prohibitively expensive in states like California.

--------------

Ralph Ellis has been researching biblical and Egyptian history for more than 30 years. Being independent from theological and educational establishments allows him to tread where others do not dare. In the latter half, he talked about the dating of ancient megaliths using cosmic alignments, as well as theories about how CO2 is not related to climate change based on observations about past ice ages (view related graphics). According to his research, CO2 is not the modulating agent in global warming, but rather it's dust on ice sheets that warms and melts them and has pulled us out of past ice ages. We've had eight ice ages over the last 800,000 years, he reported, with cycles of 90,000 years of cooling and 10,000 years of warm interglacial (the period we're in now).

Megaliths refer to ancient stones over about 100 tons, and there was a particular era when they were being built worldwide. Some, like Baalbek, were enormous-- around 1,000 tons. The Avebury Henge is particularly fascinating as its design, seen from above, mirrors how the Earth looks floating in space, he said. We can use the Sphinx to date the pyramids and the megaliths, he suggested, as the location of its site is aligned with stars connected to the spring equinox from 14,500 years ago. He also talked about the Great Pyramid at Giza, which he believes functioned as an observatory, and at one time had stairs that led to the top. The location of Mount Sinai referred to in the Bible was actually the Great Pyramid, according to Ellis, who said the descriptions match up to the pyramid's features.

In the opening news segment, George talked about the possibility of TikTok being banned in the US. Vote in C2C's Instapoll to register your views.
