Biography:

Allison Carmen holds a B.A. in accounting, a J.D. of Law, and a Master’s of Law in taxation. After working for a large law firm in Manhattan, Allison founded her own law firm and built a successful practice focusing on real estate, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and taxation. After 15 years of practicing law, Allison transitioned her practice into business consulting, business coaching, and life coaching. Today, Allison’s clients range from owners of multi-million dollar companies to artists, actors, writers, and parents. Allison is also the CFO/General Counsel of The Motherhood Center of New York.

Allison is the author of The Gift of Maybe, Finding Hope and Possibility in Uncertain Times, and A Year Without Men, A Twelve Point Guide to Inspire and Empower Women. Allison’s work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast, AARP, Inc., Oprah.com, and The Daily News. She is also a blogger for Psychology Today and a popular radio guest and has been featured on NPR, CBS, and various other shows.
