David Miano is an ancient historian. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego, in 2006. His thesis, Shadows on the Steps: Time Measurement in Ancient Israel, became his first book. Dr. Miano has taught at the University of California, San Diego and at San Diego Mesa College. In 2009, he received the Revelle Outstanding Faculty Award in recognition of his excellence in teaching. Dr. Miano currently teaches at the State College of Florida Manatee and is a regular lecturer at Ringling College Lifelong Learning Academy in Sarasota, Florida.
