Biography:

Thomas B. Lewis, M.D. is a psychiatrist, author, educator, and researcher whose work explores the intersection of neuroscience, emotion, relationships, and human development. A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, he has served on the clinical faculty there while maintaining a private psychiatric practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Lewis is best known as the co-author of the bestselling book A General Theory of Love, which examines the neuroscience of attachment and emotional connection. In addition to his clinical work, he has written extensively on psychology, consciousness, and the human mind, and has consulted on films and educational projects related to mental health and neuroscience.
