Brain Optimization / Hauntings & Earthbound Spirits

About the show

Jim Kwik is an acclaimed authority in the realm of brain optimization, memory improvement, and accelerated learning. In the first half, he shared learning methods to tune up your mind. Many of us have limiting beliefs that hold us back, he pointed out, such as making a mistake is akin to failure. We learn different skills through mistakes, and shouldn't be afraid to keep at something, he said. While it can be hard to develop new skills, we can be helped by methods of how to learn that include ways to reframe your mindset and build momentum. Plus, specific foods can enhance brain function, such as broccoli, avocados, blueberries, olive oil, turmeric, and dark chocolate, he cited.

As psychologist Howard Gardner has said, the truth is not how smart you are, it's how are you smart, he noted, adding that there are multiple types of intelligence. Kwik has identified four different brain types, each with their own values, and has developed a quiz to help people discover which they are: the Quick Thinking Cheetah, Insightful Owl, Creative Dolphin, or Empathetic Elephant. Knowing which strengths you have can offer insights into the best way for you to learn and problem-solve, he added. Kwik also provided tips on how to improve your memory, like recalling a person's name. These included focusing on a motivation or an emotional component, as well as observing or paying attention and being in the present moment.

A nurse for 34 years, Lynn Monet, has owned or lived in several haunted homes. In the latter half, she revealed the realities of the paranormal realm, her innate abilities to see earthbound spirits, and her insights about hauntings and visitors from other dimensions. She shared details of a property she was planning to move into, a townhouse that turned out to be haunted. It can be challenging to clear spaces such as this as the spirit can jump over to one of the connected units and then possibly come back, she stated. As Monet was in the primary bedroom of the townhome, out of her peripheral vision, she saw a little ghost girl standing in the doorway, watching as she put away clothes in the closet. Later, after she and her partner managed to seal off the residence from the entities, it was reported that hauntings were growing worse in the other units, including tales of a "mumbling man" who was said to disturb women in their sleep.

More recently, Monet said she inherited a property from her deceased sister in Louisiana that came with an "unwanted guest." She observed ectoplasm and a wreath of spirit faces in the hallway that were bobbing like balloons. Two remote viewers looked at the space, and both described an ancient troll-like "elemental" in the residence. Typical clearing practices are not effective on elementals, who date back to a time before religion, Monet remarked. "This particular elemental carried disembodied souls with him that he collected for his entertainment and to draw energy off of," she disclosed. Monet traced the elemental's presence to a large rock in the third-floor bedroom, and by placing it in an outside shed, she was able to relocate the entity there. She then successfully "negotiated" with the elemental to stay out of the house, and in exchange, she leaves offerings like baked goods, rum, and tobacco in the shed.
