Technology Update / Forensic Remote Viewing

About the show

In the first half, technology and privacy expert Lauren Weinstein discussed the latest developments with the Internet, AI, and all things technology. Reflecting on the early days, he noted, "The Internet went from being a Defense Department experiment to the underpinning of global communication," highlighting the unexpected trajectory of this technology. Yet, challenges have emerged alongside this growth, such as problems like spam and phishing scams, he pointed out. When asked about the recent issues with X (Twitter) outages, Weinstein explained the ambiguity surrounding the situation, stating, "There are claims it was a large-scale denial of service attack...but I haven't heard any definitive statement from X." He pointed out the complexities of diagnosing such failures, which can stem from various sources, including equipment malfunctions.

Tech companies are making significant investments in data centers to support generative AI, and he cited immense energy consumption associated with this technology, adding that some firms are even seeking permission to build nuclear reactors to power these facilities. Despite the hype surrounding AI, Weinstein expressed skepticism about its profitability: "While people are willing to play with it when it's free, they're much less willing to pay for it when it's not." This has led companies like Google to bundle AI features with existing products, raising concerns about privacy and security.

He also touched on the troubling trend of telecom companies, particularly AT&T, moving away from landline services, prioritizing profits over public safety, as well as the persistent issue of robocalls, which have not diminished despite regulatory efforts.

In the latter half, psychic and clairvoyant Angela Thomas spoke about her work with forensic remote viewing, which she says has proven helpful for gathering actionable intelligence in human trafficking and missing persons cases. "Remote viewing is the ability to use remote perception non-locally," she stated, emphasizing the protocol developed by the US intelligence agencies. Detailing her work with law enforcement, she explained, "My role is to provide information to investigators so that they can go out and do their work," clarifying that she does not conduct investigations herself and often remains unaware of the final results of criminal cases.

"There are many agencies that are very skeptical... but I can't blame them," Thomas noted, adding that she seeks to educate law enforcement on remote viewing techniques, hoping to bridge the gap between traditional investigation methods and psychic insights. Discussing her remote viewing of the Delphi, Indiana murders, she suggested that there were multiple perpetrators involved, not just Richard Allen, who is currently imprisoned for the crime. "This was not a crime of opportunity... it was done out of revenge," Thomas opined, elaborating that the motivation behind the murders was linked to the victims' family history, mainly targeting Libby German's father. During the last hour, she gave readings for callers.
