Achieving Goals / Alien Abduction Experiences

About the show

In the first half, marketing strategist Jason Walker joined guest host Connie Willis (info) to discuss the importance of understanding your brand and creating a strategic marketing plan. Walker emphasized the importance of finding a marketing expert who deeply understands and connects with a person's brand and purpose. He explained that his agency in Austin, Texas, helps entrepreneurs and visionaries transform their shelved ideas into successful brands by developing clear strategies, positioning their products, and targeting ideal customers. Walker stressed that marketing is about understanding the "why" behind a product and crafting a plan that attracts attention and creates real demand.

He shared success stories from his extensive career, highlighting small entrepreneurs and major brands he's worked with. A standout example was a cookie company founded by a cancer survivor; by building a brand strategy centered around her inspiring story and healthy product, they secured national attention, including being featured as one of Oprah's Favorite Things and on major shows like Good Morning America and Today. This exposure helped the company grow by 3,000% in a matter of weeks, demonstrating the power of a clear, heartfelt brand narrative backed by strategic marketing.

Walker encouraged listeners to recognize the potential in their hobbies, skills, and passions — whether it's baking, sewing, or building chicken coops — and not to underestimate their value. With the right marketing guidance, even small ideas can become nationally recognized brands. He offered listeners a free eBook, 12 Solid Gold Tips for Navigating the Wild, Wild West of the Internet, as a starting point to build their success and avoid common mistakes when entering the digital marketplace.

In the second half, author and cryptid researcher Carter Buschardt recounted his alien abduction experiences. Buschardt revealed that he grew up fascinated by unexplained phenomena like UFOs, Bigfoot, and ghosts, though he initially believed something was wrong with him for being so drawn to those topics. It wasn't until a past-life regression session later in life that he discovered a deeply buried memory of being abducted by aliens at the age of eight or nine. During the regression, Buschardt emotionally relived the event — including screaming, fear, and confusion — and realized that these suppressed experiences had been hidden from his conscious memory for decades through the use of sophisticated "screen memories" imposed by the abductors.

He described how these screen memories shaped his understanding of past experiences, such as believing he almost got hit by a car as a child when it was a spacecraft encounter. Buschardt shared vivid imagery from his regressions, including seeing strange robotic-like beings adorned with tubes and glowing lights, and later encountering a taller, more sophisticated alien who appeared to manipulate his perceptions. He emphasized how alien technology seems able to control human memory and emotions entirely, locking away traumatic events to prevent conscious recall, and only through hypnosis was he able to access these hidden truths.

Buschardt also recalled specific memories related to repeated abductions alongside his childhood friend Craig, including a false memory of accidentally hooking Craig while fishing — an illusion created to mask the trauma of their shared abduction experiences. He reflected on the bittersweet realization that, while these hidden encounters shaped his life, he was grateful that regression allowed him to retrieve and understand the experiences rather than remain completely unaware. He expressed awe at the advanced control methods used by the beings and highlighted how much of humanity’s understanding remains primitive by comparison.
