JFK Assassination Files / Conversations with God

About the show

In the first half, investigative reporter Mark Shaw discussed the newly released JFK assassination documents and a recent task force delving into the topic. Various assertions and pieces of evidence challenge the traditional narrative surrounding Oswald's role in the assassination, Shaw reported. Jefferson Morley, a prominent researcher and member of JFK Facts, studied the documents and reported to the task force chaired by Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna that the evidence in the files does not support the notion that Lee Harvey Oswald killed the president and that he could not have fired a shot from the front. Further, eyewitness accounts from doctors at Parkland Hospital, who observed a "blowout wound" at the back of Kennedy's head, suggest that the fatal shots came from the front (the "single-bullet theory" put forth by the Warren Commission says that the bullet came from behind).

Shaw highlighted insights from filmmaker Oliver Stone, who pointed out that witnesses in the Texas School Book Depository did not see Oswald after the shots were fired. Oswald would have had to have been a track star to have shot the president and then gone down the stairs, Stone claimed, raising doubts about Oswald's involvement. Shaw also emphasized the importance of Dorothy Kilgallen, a journalist who believed Oswald did not act alone. He lamented that many experts overlook her contributions to the JFK case. He also revealed a bombshell regarding Carlos Marcello, a mob boss, who allegedly confessed to having JFK killed.

In the latter half, author Neale Donald Walsch reflected on the profound journey that led to the creation of his groundbreaking book series, "Conversations with God," and the wisdom and insights the works contain. He recounted the tumultuous life experiences leading up to the book's inception, revealing, "I was completely down and out... I lost my relationship and my job in the same five-day period." After enduring a serious car accident that left him with a broken neck, he found himself homeless for a year, asking for spare change just to eat.

During this dark time, Walsch began writing an "angry letter to God," seeking answers to life's struggles. To his astonishment, he began hearing a voice that responded to his questions. "I was involved in an on-paper dialog with this voice that I ultimately identified as God because of the kind of answers that I was being given," he explained. Initially skeptical, he later decided to share his experience with publishers, and the first book became an international bestseller.

Many perceive God as judgmental and punishing, but his revelations defined God as "pure love" – a concept that shifted his entire understanding of spirituality, as well as his relationships and connections with others. He recalled how societal expectations led him to chase material success, only to realize that true fulfillment comes from serving others. Walsch also highlighted the significant message that "we are all one," as well as discussed his latest book, GodTalk, which outlines six steps to help individuals engage in their own conversations with God. These steps include believing in the possibility of such communication, embracing one's worthiness, and practicing discernment in the messages received.
