About the show

In the first half, author Jerome Corsi offered commentary and analysis on current issues, particularly related to geopolitics and the economy. On international affairs, he portrayed the conflict with Iran as temporarily at a standstill due to U.S. midterm election considerations, but warned the core issue —Iran's uranium enrichment— remains a "final red line." Iran is not about to give up the right to enrich uranium easily, he added, pointing to the ongoing threat of nuclear proliferation. Speaking of the Russia-Ukraine war, he said: "The drones have taken over on the battlefield… the war is being fought largely from space." He foresees the conflict prolonging, and perhaps finally ending if Russia takes Kyiv.

Turning to the U.S. economy, Corsi painted a grim picture: "Over 100 million people with no jobs and not looking for work," alongside a $39 trillion national debt, which he called "unsustainable long term." He pointed to technological disruption, including AI-driven layoffs at Microsoft, as a looming challenge for workforce stability. "We're in for a real battle in terms of what skills are needed to have meaningful employment," he cautioned. Further, he noted a rise in young adults living with parents due to student debt and poor job prospects, calling it "an alarming percentage" and "not a stable situation long term."

On Cuba, Corsi attributed the country's economic and infrastructure struggles to U.S. sanctions and suggested that "communism could be at an end in Cuba with a little bit more pressure applied by President Trump economically." Here in America, he characterized the rise of democratic socialism as a "communist movement" that he contends is openly embraced by the Democratic Party, and warned of ideological shifts unseen since the McCarthy era.

In the latter half, astrologer Leslie McGuirk explored the transformative power of astrology, describing it as a complex "language" and "owner's manual" for life. Astrology can be looked at as a map of energetic frequencies and vibrations, with a birth chart akin to a unique musical score imprinted at the moment of birth, she said. Explaining astrology's practical use in navigating life's "cosmic weather," she noted that while free will governs personal choices, planetary alignments influence the challenges and opportunities individuals face.

McGuirk uses accessible metaphors like "quicksand" and "mouse traps" to help clients identify and overcome difficult chart aspects, rather than more arcane astrological terminology. She also stressed the significance of Mercury in communication, helping people understand how their Mercury sign shapes their communication style and can account for interpersonal conflicts. She sees current planetary movements as significant collective shifts, particularly Uranus entering Gemini —"the planet of shock, disruption, technology"— creating a fast-paced, restless energy affecting communication and technology. She warned of an intense, rare planetary configuration in late July involving Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, which could spark "massive fire somewhere," metaphorically or literally.

Astrology, much like acupuncture, is an interpretive science with varied practitioner skill, and she suggested that listeners avoid fear-inducing readings. "There should never be anything negative or scary that an astrologer tells you," she stated, advocating for a positive and empowering approach. McGuirk recounted challenging chart cases but highlighted that even difficult astrological profiles carry purpose and potential for growth. "If you have to lift hundreds of pounds of weights through your whole life, you develop a lot of muscles," she commented, indicating that adversity in charts can translate into strength and meaningful achievements. During the last hour, she gave readings for callers.
