Consciousness & Parapsychology

About the show

Psychologist Jeffrey Mishlove has been guided by dreams, synchronicities, mystical states, and their philosophical implications. He has consistently encouraged others to pay attention to these processes in their own lives. Mishlove spoke about his career in consciousness and parapsychology research and his long-running interview program "Thinking Allowed." He discussed the Global Consciousness Project (which uses computers to track dramatic events and how they affect the human subconscious) and how the stock market's volatility can be viewed as a reflection of human consciousness.

Mishlove also talked about some of life's big questions: consciousness, prayer, God, the Big Bang theory, cloning, and how we may share a universal consciousness with extraterrestrials.

During the latter part of the show, a spokesperson called in to report on the grave condition of psychedelics pioneer Terence McKenna who was battling brain cancer. In the first hour, "UFO lawyer" Peter Gersten shared an update on his lawsuit against the US Department of Defense on revealing information about massive flying triangle UFOs, including one Art and his wife observed and swore an affidavit to support Gersten's legal case. Gersten described his requests to the CIA and FBI for any files on UFO abductions, which he described as "criminal acts."
