Researcher Charles Cagle discussed alternate theories about the physics of the sun, and possible dangerous coronal mass ejections that could threaten the Earth. In the first hour, he shared strange reports of ball lightning passing through windows on aircraft, and even submarines in WWII, and theories of how it could form and sustain its shape. He compared mass ejections from the sun to ball lightning, saying that it is "the same structure on a larger scale," and that the chances of the Earth being in line for a direct hit are very small.
Cagle went on to describe the effects of a magnetic polar shift on Earth resulting from a solar mass ejection causing earthquakes with "Richter 10-plus movements." He said that these types of earthquakes had actually happened throughout history, even "throwing people 200 feet across a river," and believed that this would happen again within six years from the broadcast. He also described the other possible effects of an ejection when the Earth's magnetic field is temporarily down, causing crops to wilt, the Amazon to catch fire, and even "melting rocks." In the last hour, Cagle answered questions from listeners.
