Charlie Agar, better known as "Charlie Bee," is a Texas beekeeper, educator, and founder of Charlie Bee Company in Seguin. Before discovering the hive, Charlie followed a winding path that included teaching English abroad and extended backpacking journeys across East and Southeast Asia. His eclectic career evolved into work as a travel writer, newspaper reporter, and media producer-- until he settled in Texas, where his work with bees deepened into a calling.
Today, he runs a thriving beekeeping business focused on humane bee removals, education, and agritourism. He stars in the PBS docu-series "Charlie Bee Company" and mentors veterans through Hives for Heroes. His mission is to help people reconnect-- with land, community, and purpose-- through the everyday magic of working with bees.
