  • About the show

A special topic line was set up for people to share their stories of near death experiences. One caller recounted how he survived shooting himself in the head in a drugged state. It was the "best thing that ever happened to me," he said, explaining that the violent incident set him on the path of changing his life for the better.

In other Open Lines calls, a man related his "Vision Quest," where he experienced himself as a giant scorpion in a battle with a dragon. Another caller told of seeing the Phoenix Lights, and then being severely harassed by Arizona law enforcement, who eventually claimed they were looking for someone who stole a "potted plant." The caller suspected the officers may have actually been "Men in Black," attempting to intimidate him after he witnessing a UFO.
