  • About the show

In the first hour, George was joined live in the studio by actors Bill Mumy and Angela Cartwright. Known for their roles as Will and Penny Robinson on the '60s television show Lost in Space, the two shared some of their experiences working on the sci-fi series. Cartwright also spoke about her love of photography and early career in movies and on the Danny Thomas Show/Make Room For Daddy. Mumy performed his song, I Drove By Your House Last Night.

    Calling All Maniacs

During Open Lines, a caller to the 'maniac moment' hotline recalled the time a man freaked out in his bank after learning he could not immediately withdrawal funds from a large check he had deposited earlier that day. The caller said the otherwise mild-mannered customer became so upset that he threw a roll of quarters and broke a window.

One caller remembered being reamed out by his boss after declining to eat turtle soup at the suggestion of an executive from a Fortune 500 company with whom they were meeting. Another caller to the line told George that he became so outraged during a confrontation with his estranged younger sister that he put one of his fists through the cedar planks lining the walls of his house.
