Mastering Conflict / Prophecy & Spiritual Warfare

About the show

In the first half, author and mediator Douglas E. Noll spoke about resolving or de-escalating interpersonal and ideological conflicts, and advocated for better communication skills to foster understanding and reduce violence. He also reported on President Trump's proposal to reopen Alcatraz as a high-security prison. Noll expressed skepticism about the feasibility of such a project, pointing out the logistical challenges, including transporting food and supplies to the island. Noting the alarming rise of polarization in human dialogue, he emphasized that while he can teach methods to calm someone down in 90 seconds, the key is to avoid situations where violence may erupt. "If there's any chance of violence, get out of there. It's not worth it," he advised.

Critiquing law enforcement training, he remarked, "They're much more interested in teaching how to restrain people...than they are in teaching officers how to de-escalate angry situations." He attributed the deterioration of civil discourse to political strategies as well as social media, stating, "Social media amplifies fear and anger... because that's where the eyeballs are."

He also highlighted the role of parenting in emotional development, explaining that many parents unintentionally teach children to suppress their emotions. "When you tell a child to stop crying... you are literally shutting down the emotional development of that child," he said, adding that emotions don't make us weaker but can help us build empathy. When asked about global conflicts like Russia and Ukraine, Noll acknowledged their complexity, asserting that interpersonal de-escalation techniques may not apply in geopolitical circumstances.

In the latter half, founder of the spiritual news website Spirit Daily, Michael H. Brown, discussed prophecy, the eruption of paranormal phenomena, and spiritual warfare. In his extensive research into prophecies and their implications for the future, he combined both mystical and scientific points of view, including interviews with over 100 scientists, like volcanologists and climatologists. He noted a consensus among them that we're overdue for major volcanoes and earthquakes.

On the prophetic secrets of Fatima, Brown said, "I think some did come true, but the third secret... I don't think that has fully been realized." He warned of potential upheaval, referencing Sister Lucia's vision of an "angel touching the earth with a flaming sword," which could signify future geophysical events. He also touched on the prophecies and religious apparitions at Medjugorje. On the subject of end times prophecies, he commented, "I don't see the end of the world. I see the end of our time," suggesting a breakdown of modern society rather than an apocalyptic conclusion.

In regards to demonic influences in contemporary society, he recounted a conversation with a major exorcist who described demons as "blacker than black," and shared accounts of bizarre phenomena, including "kids walking up walls, as in a famous Indiana possession." He warned, "There's an influx of tremendous demonic activity," indicating a troubling trend in spiritual disturbances.
