Law of Attraction / The Ghostly Realm

About the show

In the first half, transformational coach Felicia Searcy discussed the Law of Attraction, and the profound impact of mindset on personal growth. Clarifying a common misconception, she said, "The Law of Attraction is actually a secondary law. The primary law is the law of vibration." She explained that our beliefs create mental "movies" that generate feelings, which in turn emit energetic vibrations attracting corresponding experiences. She noted, "We are literally sending out signals based on what we fundamentally believe about life," highlighting the energetic nature of attraction.

Regarding positive thinking, Searcy linked it to the Law of Attraction but stressed it goes deeper than just optimism. "It's about...becoming the kind of person who has this even more amazing life," she said, involving gratitude, appreciation, and envisioning a better future. She also acknowledged the challenge of maintaining positivity around negative people, who can pull you into their pessimistic worldview. On the topic of manifestation, she explained that it is the tangible result of the Law of Attraction. She likened the law to gravity-- always at work, whether we are conscious of it or not. "We're always attracting something to us," so it's a matter of working with the law intentionally with conscious engagement to create desired outcomes rather than being a passive recipient of life's conditions.

Cautioning against expecting instant results, she asserted that manifestation requires consistent alignment with one's vision, and that the Law of Attraction is not a cure-all that eliminates life's challenges but a tool to shift perspective and resilience. As a practical application, she recommended starting with the powerful question, "What would I really love?" and encouraged writing detailed visions beginning with "I am so happy and grateful now that..." to foster identification with the desired reality.

In the latter half, Ross Allison, a veteran paranormal investigator with over 30 years of experience, shared insights from his extensive ghost hunting career. Having lectured worldwide and investigated some of the most haunted sites across the US, Canada, and the UK, he emphasized his scientific outlook. "I really want to be honest in my approach and be as transparent as possible," he said, acknowledging the skepticism that surrounds paranormal claims.

He discussed the complexity of defining ghosts, noting that the paranormal field encompasses diverse phenomena beyond ghostly apparitions, including UFOs and psychic events. He stressed the importance of capturing verifiable evidence, especially through audio and visual means such as Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVPs), which he described as "one of the simplest things that you can capture" and a common method spirits may use to communicate. Allison reported on a compelling investigation at University Heights, an old Seattle elementary school turned community center, where unexplained phenomena include sounds of children running, lights turning on unexpectedly, and sightings of a dark apparition.

Addressing popular misconceptions, Allison criticized mainstream media's focus on demonic entities, which he believes has skewed public perception and caused unnecessary fear. He recounted helping clients convinced they were dealing with demons, often calming them by reassessing their experiences. Many TV shows and films are focused on demons because it's more entertaining, but "it's very unfortunate that that has been the main draw into the paranormal field," he remarked. Further, he challenged assumptions about dark or aggressive spirits, suggesting that "maybe it's screaming because that's the only way it knows how to communicate," and that darker apparitions might simply lack the energy to manifest more clearly.
