First Half: Historian David Miano joins Ryan Wrecker (email) to discuss ancient civilizations and how historians and archaeologists investigate them. David will detail his travels to some of the world's most extraordinary ancient sites, some of the puzzles and unanswered questions they contain, and where research is likely to go in the future.

Second Half: Writer, director, and photographer Peter von Puttkamer will share his monster tales, drawn from more than 35 years of global exploration and encounters with fierce, dangerous wild creatures. Some of his encounters include saltwater crocs, anacondas, and many cryptids. He'll also talk about his paranormal and ghost work as well as his experiences producing the show "Killing Bigfoot."

6-10pm PT: Art Bell - Somewhere in Time returns to 1/30/02 when journalist Eugene Linden shared his view of a future where instability rules the world.
