Donna Good Higbee discussed her investigation into HSII (human spontaneous involuntary invisibility), which she began in 1994. In every case she has researched, the person is physically still present, although unable to be seen or heard. From the point of view of the invisible person, the world looks normal and they have no idea that they cannot be seen or heard by people around them.

She was leading a support group for people who felt they were abducted and one woman told her of an experience of going to the post office and while standing in line, nobody noticed her – people cut in line and everyone ignored her. Then the woman realized that every now and then (usually at a place where there were a lot of people) this happens to her.

Higbee cited more examples of HSII, including an account of a woman who was sitting in front of a wall when her husband started yelling that he couldn't find her yet she was sitting there all along. It was theorized she put herself into a state of altered reality, and changed her vibrational frequency. Beginning in the third hour, callers shared their experiences. One caller (who used to be a police officer) said he figured out a way to make himself invisible and he revealed how he used this ability in his police work- he projecting into people's minds what he wanted them to see.
