Lost History of Jesus

About the show

Author Glenn Kimball discussed his controversial research into Jesus' crucifixion, drawing on ancient manuscripts and historical records from Roman, Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu sources rather than relying solely on biblical accounts. He claimed Emperor Tiberius sought to have Jesus deified after his death, while Pontius Pilate was pressured into authorizing the crucifixion but later converted to Christianity after encountering the resurrected Jesus. Kimball also cited accounts that acknowledged Jesus' miracles and explored the political tensions surrounding his arrest.

The conversation extended to Kimball's theories that Joseph of Arimathea's Roman citizenship gave Jesus legal status as a Roman citizen, that Jesus had descendants who became part of European royal bloodlines, and that the Ark of the Covenant may still exist in a secret location. Halfway through the program, Art invited callers to question Kimball about his controversial historical claims.
