Jerry Nickle

Jerry Nickle

Biography:

Jerry Nickle was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1942. In 2004 he pursued his dream of many years to discover the story of his outlaw ancestor. After 8 years of research he discovered his outlaw ancestor was in fact the "Sundance Kid." Nickle tells his own real-life story of finding out that he’s the great-grandson of the Sundance Kid in his book Bringing Sundance Home. Yes, the same outlaw that rode with the legendary Butch Cassidy. Nickle discovered his ancestry quite by accident when he saw the familiar face of his great-grandfather, William Henry Long appearing in the picture of Butch Cassidy’s Wild Bunch Gang taken 1901. His book is filled with romance, gun battles, and new details of what happened to Butch and Sundance after their supposed deaths in Bolivia in 1908.
