  • About the show

Citing some of history's most wicked tyrants, including Torquemada, Ivan the Terrible, Hitler and Pol Pot, George offered a special hotline for people who have encountered pure evil. Andre from Boston remembered the time a man who claimed he could cast out demons visited his religious boarding school in Indiana. According to Andre, the guest pastor performed "his routine" on several children, and one student in particular became so violent that he could not be restrained by seven adult counselors. Andre said strange things continued to occur after the man left campus.

A caller from South Carolina detailed the grisly abduction/murder of his grandfather at a gas station. He said his grandfather was stuffed in a trunk alive, stabbed and mutilated, and dumped by the side of a road. Another caller recalled babysitting a 5-year-old girl who drowned her hamster in a toilet, squeezed a kitten to death, tried to stab a pet bird with scissors and repeatedly attempted to smother her little brother with a blanket.

Tim in Northern California said he heard "little footsteps running" in his gravel driveway this evening. Upon investigating the noise, he claims to have encountered a two and a half foot tall bearded man wearing a opossum hat and buckskin boots. According to Tim, the man grimaced at him and his daughter and disappeared when he looked away.

    Ruling Planets

In the first hour Christopher Renstrom, author of Ruling Planets and self-described "cosmic weatherman," talked about his work as an astrologer. He described astrology as a calendar, not a religion or science; and likened the 12 zodiac signs to numbers on the face of a clock and the planets to hands on the clock. For 2,500 years the planets have been watched and their effects catalogued, Renstrom said, explaining that the movement of planets provides the information he uses for his astrological predictions. Restrom's horoscope column can be read at SFGate.com.
