  • About the show

Author Charles Upton, a student of traditional metaphysics and comparative religion, discussed how various traditions support an 'end-times' scenario, and how UFOs and the Antichrist play into it. UFOs, he suggested, are coming from another dimension that is similar yet different to ours, and the occupants, while physical, can't exist in our realm for any length of time. Some of these beings are demonic in nature, and serve to pull people away from God, Upton argued. Yet he believes that other entities in this class could be considered more benign "nature spirits" or what Islam calls the jinn. Perceptions such as of the "grey" alien are deceptive, because we can't fully see a multi-dimensional being, he explained.

Uptown has found surprising correlations in the end-time prophecies of different traditions, including Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Native-American. Several of these traditions repeat the idea of mankind passing through four different ages. Further, he noted that concepts of the Antichrist aren't limited to Christianity, with both Islam and Tibetan Buddhism referring to such a figure.

    Mideast Update

First hour guest, columnist John M. Curtis offered commentary on the eruption of Islamic violence in response to the Mohammed caricatures published in Denmark. The circumstance, he said, is being exploited by radical extremists, but he believes it will eventually blow over.
