Intelligence & the Universe

About the show

Appearing during the middle two hours, astrophysicist and author Bernard Haisch discussed his theory, supported by recent astrophysical findings, that the universe has an intelligence behind it. If a number of factors in the cosmos were just a percentage different, life as we know it would not have evolved, he noted.

Yet he is not a proponent of "intelligent design" per se, rather, he suggested that the purpose of life forms is to provide experience for God or an intelligence. This intelligence is then enriched through turning some of its infinite potential into experience.

Recent studies are pointing in the direction of a link between science and spirituality, he reported, citing a quantum entanglement experiment carried out by a group at the University of Vienna. They found that reality doesn't take place until consciousness observes.

The last hour of the show was devoted to Open Lines.

Dannion Update

First half-hour guest, Dannion Brinkley reacted to a report of missing letters to wounded soldiers. He also touched on his hospice work with veterans through the Twilight Brigade.
