Strange Phenomena and Spirituality / Open Lines

About the show

The author of nine books on religion and spirituality, Jim Willis has been an ordained minister for over forty years while working part-time as a woodworker and handyman, and adjunct college professor in the fields of World Religions and Instrumental Music. Willis first discussed his work with the "hidden history" of mankind, which he says interests him because civilizations may have fallen due to causes that we are experiencing now, but of which we are not aware. From his research, he developed the idea of "supernatural gods," which he says are beings who can travel between dimensions, and which he says is couched in ancient language "in ways that we now call religious."

Willis continued with his definition of the word "spirituality," as another world or dimension beyond us, and that "sometimes we can connect with it." He looks at life as a "learning experience" in which we live in a world of duality in order to know what it’s like to live separately from others as individuals before we "go back to the source" which some refer to as the afterlife. Willis, who says that he’s had "hundreds" of Out of Body Experiences (OBEs) said that he trained himself to enter the mental state required by putting time aside every day with the goal of leaving his body: "It must be the most important thing in your day," he stated. He moved to a rural area many years ago in order to separate himself from the "noise" of civilization and regain what he believes the ancients had, who he stated "experienced a much richer reality than we do."

During Open Lines, Nathan called from Ohio to describe a strange and vivid dream he had experienced recently where he saw beings with "horns growing out of the sides of their heads" hovering near a dimensional portal and a room with a lamb that had "no eyes on one side of its face and many eyes on the other." Perry in California rhapsodized about Elvis Presley’s Las Vegas period and believed that he "picked the best songwriter" at that time. Barbara called from California as well to speak plainly about her caregiver, whom she said is "very psychic and pretty angry," and then revealed that this person was probably listening to the show.

Neil in Iowa praised the program "Ancient Aliens" with his observation that "the more they explore, the more they uncover." He also described a dramatic UFO sighting that occurred when he was 15 years old and looked like a "red orb." He added that the friend who was with him still refuses to talk about it. Chris from Ohio described a meeting with Elvis Presley in his kitchen at Graceland where he was served coffee and the famous peanut butter and banana sandwiches, which he declared were "really good." He also claimed that he later heard that Elvis had faked his death. The last half hour featured a segment of an interview with David Weatherly on the eerie phenomenon of "black eyed children."
