Manson Murders / Survivors of Atlantis

About the show

Tom O'Neill is an investigative journalist and entertainment reporter. In the first half, he discussed his twenty-year fascination with the Manson murders and new revelations in a riveting reassessment of this infamous American crime. The motive for the two nights of murder in Los Angeles in 1969 was said to be Manson's attempt to ignite a race war, O'Neill recounted, but he concluded there were more factors involved. According to prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi, Manson chose Sharon Tate's house because it was the former occupancy of record producer Terry Melcher, and he wanted to instill fear in him after he didn't further his music career. However, O'Neill said it might have been more complicated than that, as he uncovered information that Melcher and Manson had a long-running acquaintanceship.

Another of O'Neill's contentions was that Bugliosi was a legally comprised figure, stalking someone he thought had bothered his child. In 1967, after Manson was released from prison, he had a parole officer in San Francisco named Roger Smith, who was also a drug researcher. Smith seemed to look the other way while Manson was committing crimes, and developing his commune and followers, O'Neill reported. A psychiatrist in San Francisco at the time named "Jolly" West was part of the CIA's MK ULTRA mind control program, which parallels to some degree what happened with the Manson 'Family,' and Charlie's control over his followers. There were also similarities to the Sirhan Sirhan case, which may have involved mind control, O'Neill added.

Writer and photographer Will Hart has been searching for how life originated on Earth and what our human heritage and identity truly is. In the latter half, he talked about the ancestral "gods," ancient artifacts, and evidence for Atlantis and its survivors. While Atlantis has been called a myth by many historians, Hart compared it to Sumeria, which was only rediscovered by archaeologists some 150 years ago. He dates Atlantis to a previous cycle, around 10,000 to 12,000 years back. Hart contends that the gods (advanced beings or Anunnaki) visited Earth thousands of years ago and genetically tinkered with native hominids to create hybrids and modern humans.

A hybrid race of giants, the Nephilim, could have been in Baalbek, Lebanon, where there are massive blocks weighing more than 1,000 tons, Hart detailed. Atlantis's civilization used symbols and stones to communicate, he continued, and he believes there are lost tribes descending from them, such as the Guanches on the Canary Islands. When the Spaniards invaded there in the 15th century, they found people that looked like Europeans but had totally different customs, including mummifying their dead and building pyramids. This remote population had a very high frequency of Rh negative blood, he stated. Rh negative is very rare, and has no mutations, and Hart suspects it may have been the original or baseline blood type, and was possibly brought or developed by the gods.
