Pergamon Altar Mystery / Lunar Exploration

About the show

In the first half, author Jonathan Cahn explored the mysterious and ominous history of the Pergamon Altar, a monumental Greek structure from the second century B.C., and its possible connection to the events shaping our world today. He characterized the altar as "the throne of Satan," referencing the biblical Book of Revelation, which calls Pergamon the place "where the throne of Satan dwells." It was an altar of burnt offerings—"the altar of the Holocaust," he stated, referencing the Greek roots of the word "holocaust." Cahn contends that this altar has repeatedly influenced world history, linking it to major 20th-century events, including the rise of Adolf Hitler, world wars, Marxism, the Cold War, and even the development of the internet and American leadership.

The altar was excavated and transported to Germany in the late 19th century, coinciding with the founding of the German Empire in 1871. Cahn highlights this timing as significant, noting that "the throne of Satan returns to the world" just as Germany emerges, and that Germany's embrace of the altar paralleled the rise of anti-Semitism and occultism, setting the stage for the calamities of the 20th century. After World War II, the altar passed into Soviet hands, correlating with the USSR's rise as a communist superpower, and the spread of communism to other countries.

Looking forward, Cahn hinted at the altar's continuing influence, including a well-known American leader linked to the altar's power and a prophetic role in end-time events involving a "resurrected Roman Empire" and the Antichrist. Although cautious about naming this leader, he described how this figure gave a speech at the altar site and rose to power with a replica of the altar behind him. Cahn attributes his insights to divine guidance.

In the latter half, engineer and author Brooks Agnew discussed lunar exploration and the current state and future ambitions of human space missions. He mentioned that NASA's Artemis III program is part of the agency's Gateway project, which involves placing a space station in lunar orbit as part of a massive, multi-trillion-dollar initiative essential to lunar colonization and future Mars missions. The discovery of water ice and helium-3 at the Moon's south pole, particularly in craters like Cabeus, has been a game changer. Explaining the significance of helium-3, he said, "When we fuse helium-3, we don't get any radiation," making it a potentially revolutionary clean energy source. "Right now we believe that there is about a 10,000-year fuel supply sitting on the moon for the first person who can grab it," he marveled. However, he acknowledged its current economic impracticality, citing ongoing challenges with fusion technology and the need for a new type of reactor.

Emphasizing the geopolitical stakes, he asserted, "The first country to build a successful lunar colony is going to rule the world," pointing to China's rapid progress and the strategic creation of the U.S. Space Force and Space Academy to foster military and technological leadership in space. Agnew also addressed the challenges of remote lunar landings, noting that the lack of a lunar positioning system causes frequent mission failures. He praised private space companies like SpaceX for their innovative approaches, contrasting them with NASA's slower bureaucratic processes.

Agnew expressed a strong vision for lunar exploration, advocating for the development of habitats inside lunar volcanic vents rather than on the surface. On human colonization of Mars, he outlined the biological challenges of childbirth and development in low gravity, predicting the emergence of a distinct "race of Martians" due to physiological mutations.
