Chupacabras Encounters

About the show

Researcher Scott Corrales became interested in the UFO phenomenon as a result of heavy UFO activity while he lived in both Mexico and Puerto Rico. He detailed the history of the mysterious chupacabras encounters. Incidents began in Puerto Rico in the early 1990s, with the cryptid reportedly killing livestock in horrifying ways. He stated his opinion that the chupacabras was a "strictly paranormal phenomenon" rather than a true flesh-and-blood creature. He also spoke of the disappearance of entire flocks of sheep, and how authorities in Spain said that this might have been due to the creature.

Corrales described its reported appearance as having "a kangaroo-like body, a humanoid head with wrap-around red eyes, vibrating quills running down its back, scrawny, almost useless forearms, and membranes under its arms which allow it to fly" although it had not been observed to "float in the air" without the use of its wings. He also recounted other similar creatures, especially in Mexico, where law enforcement shot at something that looked like a "Bigfoot with wings." He stated that Puerto Rico had been the location for testing of dangerous substances for medical research, and how these may have been the cause of mutations that resulted in creatures like the Chupacabras.

Corrales speculated that there was "always a low level of animal mutilations going on," and this could be attributed to a variety of ordinary or even paranormal reasons. He added that the chupacabras had also left a "significant radiation signature" in some investigations and that this effect had a precedent in the writings of famed author John Keel. Beginning in the second hour, Corrales took questions from listeners. The last hour consisted of news and Open Lines.
