'Friday the 13th' Open Lines

About the show

During Open Lines, Tim in Jacksonville, Florida recalled a UFO sighting he had in 1995. According to Tim, the object made no noise as it flew slowly through the sky. It seemed to be aware of his presence, he added. Tim said he could just make out the frame of the craft before it flew away at a fantastic rate of speed. He is convinced the object was not a helicopter or airplane.

'Anonymous' claimed to have been involved in surveillance operations along the East/West German border in the early 1980s, when he was asked to interview an Army aircraft crew that narrowly escaped a midair collision with a mysterious black object. The caller said the object was about half the size of a Predator drone and later identified as an unmanned aerial vehicle from the other side.

Actor Doug Hutchison, known for his roles as Percy Wetmore in The Green Mile and Horace Goodspeed on "Lost," phoned in to announce his new web series about vampire hunters. Check it out at vampirekillers.tv.

Some callers also phoned in to sing Happy Birthday to Coast producer, Tom Danheiser. The final half hour featured George's 6/13/08 interview with writer Marc Zicree and Anne Serling, daughter of The Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling.

Healing Stones

In the first hour, expert on energy healing, Shelley Kaehr talked about the power of gems and minerals. According to Kaehr, certain stones can shift the vibrational frequency of a person's body to create healing. She recounted the story of man who used a bloodstone to help cure a serious lung condition. Kaehr thinks the chlorite in the bloodstone may be at least partially responsible for its healing properties, but also admitted there could be a more metaphysical reason for why and how it works.

News Updates

At the top of the show, financial advisor Catherine Austin Fitts commented on the recent conviction of Wall Street wizard turned swindler Bernard Madoff. Fitts thinks Madoff had numerous accomplices and his plea deal was designed to leave no trail back to them.

Appearing briefly in the second hour, researcher Bill Warwick spoke about the "Phoenix Lights," a UFO incident witnessed by hundreds of people throughout Arizona on March 13, 1997. Warwick said the huge size of the object precludes it from being a human-made craft, and believes the event (and others like it) demonstrates that Earth is being visited by intelligent extraterrestrial beings.
