About the show

In this Open Lines program, there was a great deal of talk about the upcoming election. The tax law overhaul proposed by candidate Steve Forbes was also discussed along with heated comments about tax laws and structure. The subject of what should and should not be allowed to be accessed on the internet, the end of the world, and smallpox were also touched on.

Art read a fax about an unusual case concerning a school in the Midwest where all of the children got a strange rash at the same time. Then the rash vanished at the same time too – in just this one classroom. As Art said, this particular show ranged “from the funny to the very frightening to the ridiculous.”
