Open Lines & Montana Freemen

About the show

In this free-flowing night of Open Lines, Art discussed Bob Dole quitting the US Senate. He spoke about the presidential campaign and how Dole had weak numbers with women. The Freemen militia group were in the news and many calls came in about an ongoing standoff at their compound. Art said the Freemen should walk out and surrender to save the women and children in their group.

One caller annoyed Art when he defended the Freemen because he believed that the IRS and the Federal Reserve were the problem. Another caller, who was a militia member himself, made a plea to the Freemen to give up and surrender. He said it would escalate so much that innocent blood would be spilled, and the blood would be on their hands. Art said he took over fifty calls from people in Montana, and none of them supported the group.

Other topics included chupacabras attacks, controversies around Value Jet airlines, Philip Morris and teen smoking, and NASA beginning a program to look for asteroids that might threaten the Earth.
