Paranormal investigator Joshua P. Warren shared his research on the Church of Satan, including his filming of their secret rituals. After he interviewed Peter H. Gilmore, High Priest of the Church of Satan, for his radio show Speaking of Strange, Gilmore invited him to observe and document activities at their "Black House of the North."

Rituals were conducted inside secret chambers within a mansion, said Warren, who wouldn't reveal the exact location. There were many interesting artifacts collected there including a piece of floor where Rasputin had been poisoned. During the Ragnarok ritual, Warren said he asked the devil to appear, just to see if he could capture anything on camera. Subsequently, he said some strange things have happened-- a minister on the way to bless his house was hurt in a car accident, and someone close to the video production dropped dead.

However, Warren found the participants at the Church of Satan to be quite civil and their belief in Satan to be symbolic of rebelliousness to society, rather than as an entity. They don't bother people, unless they are bothered with first, he noted.

Warren also discussed his experience staying overnight in a haunted bedroom at Myrtle's Plantation in Louisiana. He had direct communication with a force that repeatedly pounded three times, particularly in response to questions directed to it. The plantation has a haunted history in which a slave was abused and hanged, he detailed.
