Alien Abduction Panel

About the show

In a special broadcast, Connie Willis (info) hosted an Alien Abduction Panel, featuring guests Bret Oldham, Philip Kinsella, and Paul Sinclair, who shared their personal experiences and the impact of being abductees, discussing the challenges, triggers, and psychological effects. Connie revealed for the first time publicly that she is a lifelong experiencer—what she calls a "lifer"—having been taken by extraterrestrials throughout her life. She explained how her own experiences with abduction, paralysis, beams of light, and fractured memories give her a deep understanding of the subject and influence her ability to question guests and spot authentic experiencers. She emphasized that these encounters are not glamorous and warned that the reality is far more confusing and emotionally taxing than many expect.

Bret Oldham described himself as a long-time abductee. He recalled coming forward publicly in 2013 not for fame, but to give others the courage to speak out and to spread awareness of the global nature of the phenomenon. Oldham recounted how, after years of unexplained panic attacks and intense paranormal experiences, therapy sessions triggered vivid recovered memories of alien encounters dating back to age five. He said specific sensory triggers—such as the proximity of the beings' large black eyes—can unlock suppressed memories. Oldham noted the deep connection between alien abduction and paranormal or psychic phenomena, explaining that he has used those gifts to help others. He praised Connie's courage in revealing her experiences and underscored the trauma and difficulty often associated with abduction.

Philip Kinsella recounted his abduction experience in 1989, which involved both grays and reptilian beings, sparking a lifelong quest for answers. He discussed the psychological and physical aftereffects of his encounter, including nosebleeds and unexplained bodily marks. Kinsella emphasized the deceptive nature of mainstream narratives that dismiss abductees as delusional, arguing that these experiences challenge not only the boundaries of accepted reality but also the core of human identity. He speculated that the phenomena may be dimensional rather than extraterrestrial in the traditional sense and expressed his commitment to seeking truth through writing and discussion. He has authored multiple books exploring these themes and suggested that abduction often unlocks latent aspects of human consciousness.

Paul Sinclair portrayed himself as a lifelong experiencer, with memories of strange, mind-bending events dating back to childhood. He admitted that many of his memories are fragmented, appearing more as "cameos of events" rather than full narratives. Sinclair connected his involvement with the phenomenon to feelings of constant inquiry and psychological unrest, as he continuously seeks to understand the irrational and inexplicable experiences he has endured. He has authored the Truth Proof series and Night People, which chronicle firsthand accounts and his abductions, respectively. Sinclair stressed that his motive is not profit but helping others who feel isolated or confused by similar experiences. He echoed the panel's sentiment that public misunderstanding and ridicule are common, and encouraged respectful skepticism while offering support to fellow experiencers seeking clarity.

Connie identified herself as a likely participant in what researchers like Budd Hopkins and David Jacobs call the hybrid program, where abductees' reproductive material is harvested and used to create hybrid children. Oldham confirmed his involvement in such experiences, recounting a detailed and emotional encounter where he was introduced to a hybrid child who may have shared his DNA. He later met her again as an adult hybrid named Aya, an event that brought him emotional closure. The panel agreed that these beings lack empathy and seem to use abductees to teach hybrids how to live and act like humans, including everyday behaviors like tying their shoes or making beds. Kinsella theorized that the true goal may be linked to the soul or spirit—something the Greys lack and may be trying to obtain through hybridization.
